Presenters: Damita Engel and Signe Snortland of Metcalf Archaeological Consultants, Inc.
Walking downtown, people typically look up--at the buildings, the trees and the bustling people. But have you ever thought about the history under your feet? Join us as our guests, Damita Engel and Signe Snortland share with us the archaeology of what lies below Bismarck. They'll have you guessing which kid's toy was found in an abandoned storm drain! They'll also venture south, to share their investigations at the University of Mary looking for evidence of the Battle of Apple Creek and discuss work at the Larson Village site just north of our city with a display of photographs and reconstructed pottery from the site.
Program is free and open to the general public.
